Highland Council – New Waste Transfer Station at Granish Landfill
The contract involves the construction of a steel framed building, approximately 30m x 20, within the former recycling centre for the deposition and temporary storage of waste and recyclable materials before onward transportation.
Work began on-site in summer of 2020 and was completed in 2021. As part of this contract, John Gunns & Sons Ltd. were responsible for the following elements of works.
- Supply and Set up of site welfare,
- Site clearance works.
- Installation of all Site Drainage,
- Installation and/or diversion of services such as water, street lighting and electric.
- Installation of foundations and concrete slabs.
- Managing the Erection of the new Waste Transfer Station including Building Fit Out.
- Bituminous surfacing works,
- Site Kerbing works,
- Erection of Site Signage,
- Road markings, and
- Site Fencing works.
